Well, this just happened 😍

Hi everyone,

I hope you're all doing well and enjoying your Spring.🌹🌷🌺

As some who follow me on social media may know, the last couple of weeks have been a bit of a rollercoaster. However, yesterday afternoon, I received my welcome letter for the holistic-based Nutrition program I had applied to for my path to becoming a wellness coach.

I've thought about and researched this for a while now, and it's manifesting nicely. Though I have taken other smaller accredited nutrition courses, I wanted one that was more in-depth and more holistic, and this completely fit what I was looking for.

Though I had no clue I'd end up taking a course from a bigger University, I am a little nervous but very excited, as it will fuel my love of learning as well as provide me with credits for the bigger goal.

Between all of the signs I have been getting this year, like numbers and heart shapes, plus remembering my love of learning and wellness, as well as the fact that I missed medicine all these years—it's been 20 years, in fact—also gave me a little shot of courage I needed to apply.

Have you taken a leap, made a career change, or gone back to school after a long hiatus?

For me, it's a step on my journey to getting "me" back and thriving.

Thank you for stopping by, and take care,

New Name, but still on a journey to thrive

Hi Everyone!

If it's your first time here, I'm Erika, also known as "Missy," and I'm excited to be back to blogging, and doing product reviews.  Some of you may have noticed the new name, after much thought, it just fits, really fits.

Life took me on some unexpected detours, but during that time, I took an unplanned, but needed breather, I worked on recharging my batteries, and gained some fresh perspective, some moments have been eye-opening, so to speak.

Recharged, and renewed,  I'm ready to pour into Learning to Thrive, Not Just Survive.  This re-launch is also a journey of healing, and growth, because honestly, I've been in survival mode since I was 4 years old, and I am more than ready to thrive.

Besides the breather, and recharge, I have also been working on getting my Holistic Nutrition Cert, Sleep, Stress Management, 200 RYT, and finally formally learning Meditation, which has been enlighting since I've thought for years I was doing it all wrong.

Along with this journey, I'll be sharing, and talking about what is or hasn't worked for me, the physical challenges I am currently working around, as well as brands I love, recipes, as well as product reviews.

I will only review a product or service that I use or have tried, and I try to be fair in my reviews.  As many of you know coffee is my blood type, I love trying, and learning about cruelty-free brands, I'm still a rescue pack mom, and probably always will be.

I'll still share yummy recipes to include my love for seasonal, and local produce, my love of PNW, small business, and more.

Thank you for stopping by today, and for following along,  you can also find me on my other blog, and social media.

Thank you all for your patience

Hello everyone!

I’m so sorry that it has been a long time no hear.  These past 4 months have been well rough and well honestly, have even tested me despite me being a glass is a half-full person.

From the ceiling collapsing in the upstairs middle room “aka” the cat’s room/dog-less sanctuary so to speak, my health scare while all the industrial fans and dehumidifier were here.

To one of my older rescue poochies Cancer diagnosis, subsequent surgery, so-so wait and see prognosis because of the Cancer grade and type.

To my spinal stenosis that kicked in worse than it has ever been from the furniture moving, laundry hauling up and downstairs, even more, lack of sleep in during the 10 months of our exchange student was here.

You should have seen me urgently moving to another room all the Cat climbing towers that weigh 75-100 lbs. a piece, litter boxes, beds, toys, before that ceiling collapse!

And… on September 30th one of the GSD’s had an FCE (spinal stroke) and it appears to a complete one as she is now paraplegic.    Things were touch and go So between appointments for her, ordering supplies, cleaning her and up after her, moving her (yeah, she’s 69 lbs. so back isn’t too happy)

Also, a friend confirmed what I knew over a year ago, but she and her doctor claim no, it turns out she does indeed have bc and it pisses me off that should have been diagnosed sooner, thankfully she has a better set of doctors.

I’m not trying to seem pity party, as It’s not me, not even with all the childhood stuff I’ve been through, going through treatment for C as a teen, I am thankful for all I have and am blessed and know that there is always something to be thankful for.

By the way, I didn’t change my background to this blank background, I had logged on and who knows what happened to the template, oh well, I’ve been looking at new ones anyway, lol.

So, I’m going to be a bit slow getting back into everything, as I am still navigating life with a paraplegic dog, but I haven’t stopped blogging.

I hope you all had a great Summer and are enjoying Fall.   Anyone have a chance to take a fun trip, enjoy some much-needed me-time or hit a goal you’ve been working on?

Wishing you all a wonderful week, thank you for your support and as always for stopping by.

Take care, be well and please remember to be kind,

Ways to Save, Earn Points or Cash Back Year Round!

Hi Everyone,

Today I am sharing with you my favorite ways to save, saving money while shopping doesn't just have to be 1-2 times a year it can be done year-round!

Anyone who follows me on Social Media or on my main blog or knows me I love to save, in fact I used to be one of those people who could go grocery shopping, end up with free items which I usually donated and would end up paying $20.00 -$30.00 on a $300-$400 bill!

But with our last two Military PCS's it became a bit of a challenge to keep it up because of so many different policies at different stores, so I've kind of gotten away from couponing, but plan to get back into it for the new year!

Just because I no longer coupon, doesn't mean I don't save though, I save, I earn points and even get cash back from my purchases, just in a different way.

I am going to share with you those ways as well as the sites and apps I use to do so.

The links I'm sharing are referral links and not affiliate links and I've used these sites as well as these apps for years now and so far I've never been spammed, so I don't think they spam, so these are the real deal, meaning I've always earned my points, savings or cash back no hassle and the rare time something was missed they took care if it right away!

My Favorite Websites and Apps that help me save Year-Round:

Ebates Giving a bonus when you sign up, sometimes it's a Cashback bonus or a Gift Card Bonus and this is honestly my overall favorite, I'm always earning Cashback either online or with their App.

Ibotta Is my favorite Grocery one, though they offer  a bunch of other categories, I mostly use this app for Grocery shopping as they even have Cashback for place like the Military Commissary, Trader Joes, Whole Foods, a lot of the Warehouse stores such as Costco, Sams Club, BJ's  and they offer Cashback for other stores as well, whether your shopping in-store or online, plus items can be on sale or clearance or if  you've used a coupon for them!  So it's great to earn something every shopping trip!

Fetch Rewards App  Avail in Google Play Store or the Apple App Store, the app allows you to earn points to use towards Gift Cards, Restaurants, Charity and more, plus you can earn 2000 points when you use code: F2TFN

Swagbucks Is a great way to earn points to use towards Gift cards, Giveaways and more, plus there are other ways to earn points and the points add up quickly!

Other ways to save are your Credit Cards or ATM Cards:

Check with your Bank or even your Credit Card company, because this time of year many cards offer Cashback savings or points that can be redeemed for Gift Cards when you shop specific types of retailer or restaurants, even grocery stores or use certain services.  My bank as well as Discover Card

Other Places to save money is through sites such as Groupon

Like to try products and give feedback?

Thank you for stopping by today, I appreciate your time, take care and have a wonderful week.

Happy Holidays! πŸŽ„

Meatless Meal Ideas

Though it is Tuesday I still wanted to share some of my favorite meatless meal ideas...I am a Flexitarian and I have a passion for Meatless Mondays, though I am pretty much on my own in my household, I am still able to sneak in more vegetables or Meatless meals in here or there sometimes without detection, lol....

Having a meatless meal, doesn't me you have to go without Protein, some great ways to add Protein are Protein Powders such as, Brown Rice, Hemp, Pea  I even add Protein Powders to my baked goods or Overnight Oats to bulk them up a bit as well as for the added nutrition, other ways you can add Protein are Beans, Quinoa, Farro, Amaranth,  Lentils, Tofu, Tempeh Hummus,  Green Peas, Artichokes,  Spinach, Chia Seeds, Pumpkin Seeds, Nut Butters,Vegi Burgers (Beyond Meat's Beyond Burger is tasty!)  and more!

Do you or you and your family do meatless Mon, or are Flexitarian, Vegitarian or Vegan, if so where do you turn for your favorite recipes?

Meatless Mon, used to be a regular thing, but then a Marketing firm told me to drop it, but I'm bringing it back as it was really popular.

Hope you enjoy and thank you for stopping by,

Missy ♥️
